Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Holdings & Investments and Metal Products & Machinery sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 2.41% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi TAO (IS:VAKBN), which rose 6.76% or 0.300 points to trade at 4.740 at the close. Tav Havalimanlari (IS:TAVHL) added 4.92% or 0.55 points to end at 11.73 and Torunlar Gmyo (IS:TRGYO) was up 4.80% or 0.22 points to 4.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ayen Enerji (IS:AYEN), which lost 1.77% or 0.070 points to trade at 3.890 in late trade. Anadolu Efes (IS:AEFES) declined 1.52% or 0.30 points to end at 19.44 and Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) shed 1.12% or 0.020 points to 1.770.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 306 to 47 and 52 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 1.21% or 16.15 to $1347.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.49% or 1.13 to hit $46.47 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.92% or 0.90 to trade at $47.73 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.41% to 2.9437, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 3.3076.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.32% at 95.15.
