Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Sports and Wood, Paper & Printing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.66%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Hurriyet Gzt. (IS:HURGZ), which rose 8.45% or 0.060 points to trade at 0.770 at the close. Pegasus (IS:PGSUS) added 7.10% or 1.030 points to end at 15.540 and Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) was up 6.59% or 0.280 points to 4.530 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which lost 1.43% or 0.040 points to trade at 2.750 in late trade. Bim Magazalar (IS:BIMAS) declined 0.98% or 0.55 points to end at 55.85 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) shed 0.83% or 0.010 points to 1.190.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 311 to 37 and 58 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.16% or 2.00 to $1290.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.94% or 0.50 to hit $52.68 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.82% or 0.46 to trade at $55.43 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 2.21% to 3.6649, while EUR/TRY fell 0.75% to 3.9063.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.46% at 100.03.
