Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Non-Metal Mineral Products and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kartonsan (IS:KARTN), which rose 8.94% or 22.00 points to trade at 268.00 at the close. Zorlu Enerji (IS:ZOREN) added 6.99% or 0.100 points to end at 1.530 and Cimsa (IS:CIMSA) was up 4.59% or 0.75 points to 17.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE), which lost 4.76% or 0.070 points to trade at 1.400 in late trade. Erbosan (IS:ERBOS) declined 4.44% or 1.70 points to end at 36.55 and Anadolu Isuzu (IS:ASUZU) shed 3.66% or 0.70 points to 18.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 231 to 169 and 11 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.10% or 1.10 to $1088.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.93% or 0.41 to hit $43.88 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.22 to trade at $47.95 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.11% to 2.9169, while EUR/TRY rose 0.12% to 3.1416.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 99.01.
