Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Wood, Paper & Printing and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which rose 7.67% or 0.50 points to trade at 7.02 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 6.06% or 0.180 points to end at 3.150 and Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) was up 4.53% or 0.110 points to 2.540 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which lost 2.56% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.380 in late trade. Trabzonspor Sportif Yatirim ve Futbol Isletmeciligi Ticaret AS (IS:TSPOR) declined 1.74% or 0.050 points to end at 2.820 and Logo Yazilim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LOGO) shed 1.53% or 0.900 points to 58.100.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 179 to 163 and 65 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 1.50% or 18.66 to $1223.64 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.59% or 0.73 to hit $46.77 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.37% or 0.67 to trade at $49.44 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.12% to 3.5599, while EUR/TRY rose 0.50% to 4.0468.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.55% at 95.91.
