Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Transport and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 20.00% or 2.340 points to trade at 14.040 at the close. Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:ALCTL) added 10.51% or 0.620 points to end at 6.520 and Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES) was up 10.33% or 2.16 points to 23.06 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TAV Havalimanlari Holding (IS:TAVHL), which lost 3.22% or 1.06 points to trade at 31.90 in late trade. Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) declined 2.91% or 1.95 points to end at 65.00 and Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA) shed 2.35% or 0.190 points to 7.910.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 267 to 95 and 45 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.21% or 2.50 to $1206.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.46% or 0.32 to hit $70.09 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.75% or 0.58 to trade at $78.22 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 1.62% to 6.6562, while EUR/TRY rose 1.71% to 7.7365.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.05.
