Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Leasing & Factoring and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Cvk Maden Isletmeleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:CVKMD), which rose 5.05% or 15.25 points to trade at 317.00 at the close. MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK) added 4.56% or 16.25 points to end at 373.00 and Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) was up 4.20% or 1.96 points to 48.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS), which lost 1.97% or 10.50 points to trade at 523.50 in late trade. Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR) declined 1.36% or 6.25 points to end at 455.00 and Isiklar Enerji ve Yapi Holding AS (IS:IEYHO) shed 0.60% or 0.07 points to 11.58.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 434 to 130 and 18 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.71% or 19.04 to $2,691.44 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.91% or 0.67 to hit $73.99 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.92% or 0.70 to trade at $76.86 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 35.33, while EUR/TRY rose 0.29% to 36.50.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 108.96.
