Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Transport, Leasing & Factoring and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT), which rose 7.13% or 0.320 points to trade at 4.810 at the close. Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO) added 5.48% or 0.980 points to end at 18.860 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 4.94% or 0.310 points to 6.590 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yatas Yatak ve Yorgan Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:YATAS), which lost 2.62% or 0.960 points to trade at 35.680 in late trade. Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) declined 2.15% or 0.090 points to end at 4.090 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) shed 2.08% or 0.78 points to 36.64.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 218 to 132 and 59 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.42% or 5.60 to $1312.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 2.58% or 1.60 to hit $63.73 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.38% or 1.57 to trade at $67.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.25% to 3.9265, while EUR/TRY fell 0.77% to 4.8199.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 89.83.
