Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Sports, Insurance and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.37% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which rose 9.96% or 15.20 points to trade at 167.80 at the close. Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS) added 5.63% or 29.50 points to end at 553.50 and Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK) was up 5.54% or 3.05 points to 58.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which lost 9.98% or 5.38 points to trade at 48.52 in late trade. Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) declined 9.22% or 0.71 points to end at 6.99 and Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:ALFAS) shed 6.48% or 4.85 points to 69.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.78% or 18.95 to $2,439.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.27% or 0.22 to hit $80.80 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.24% or 0.20 to trade at $84.83 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.04% to 33.01, while EUR/TRY rose 0.08% to 36.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 103.81.
