Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Sports, Insurance and Information Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.37% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gubre Fabrikalari TAS (IS:GUBRF), which rose 9.96% or 15.20 points to trade at 167.80 at the close. Goltas Goller Bolgesi Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:GOLTS) added 5.63% or 29.50 points to end at 553.50 and Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK) was up 5.54% or 3.05 points to 58.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which lost 9.98% or 5.38 points to trade at 48.52 in late trade. Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) declined 9.22% or 0.71 points to end at 6.99 and Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:ALFAS) shed 6.48% or 4.85 points to 69.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 327 to 227 and 17 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.29% or 7.00 to $2,414.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.77% or 0.64 to hit $83.26 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.56% or 0.48 to trade at $85.88 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.77% to 33.05, while EUR/TRY rose 0.52% to 36.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 103.79.
