Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Sports, Basic Metals and Leasing & Factoring sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE), which rose 8.49% or 0.450 points to trade at 5.750 at the close. Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY) added 5.49% or 0.45 points to end at 8.64 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) was up 3.09% or 0.230 points to 7.670 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pegasus Hava Tasimaciligi AS (IS:PGSUS), which lost 5.61% or 1.640 points to trade at 27.600 in late trade. Aksa Enerji Uretim AS (IS:AKSEN) declined 3.70% or 0.140 points to end at 3.640 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) shed 3.36% or 0.680 points to 19.560.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 250 to 103 and 55 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.15% or 1.99 to $1329.99 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.66% or 0.82 to hit $50.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.89% or 0.49 to trade at $55.65 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.43% to 3.4432, while EUR/TRY fell 0.42% to 4.0967.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.12% at 92.28.
