South Africa-based platinum and chrome miner Tharisa PLC (LSE:THS, JSE:THA, OTC:TIHRF) said it is currently managing a cybersecurity incident after detecting unauthorised activity on its network.
Operations remain unaffected, supported by established business continuity processes, a statement added.
In line with its business continuity procedures, all affected systems were taken offline to contain, assess and remediate.
Cybersecurity and forensic specialists 'are working around-the-clock with our in-house IT team' to bring the affected systems back online, it added.
Tharisa is also in the process of informing the relevant authorities, adding that the investigations into the incident are ongoing.
