Proactive Investors - US Secretary for Transport Pete Buttigieg has posted an essential public service announcement on Twitter (latterly called X), warning Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) Vision Pro users against operating a Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) Cybertruck while strapped into the headset.
“Reminder — ALL advanced driver assistance systems available today require the human driver to be in control and fully engaged in the driving task at all times,” wrote Buttigieg.
His friendly reminder was posted alongside a video of a man driving a Cybertruck hands-free while using Apple’s newly released augmented reality device.
The video went viral in the days following Vision Pro’s launch last Friday, as did a multitude of others.

Another viral video captured the moment a Tesla driver was pulled over by police for the same reason.
Comprising 650 grams of metal and treated glass, the Vision Pro headset uses an array of sensors to provide the user with a digitised simulation of the world around them.
However, Apple has specifically cautioned against using the $3,500 headset “while operating a moving vehicle, bicycle, heavy machinery, or in any other situations requiring attention to safety”.
Despite its technological innovations, the headset limits peripheral view and spatial computing icons could further obscure the road.
Obtaining the Cybertruck-Vision Pro combo will set you back the best part of $100,000, excluding fines and prison sentences.
