EV giant Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) has reduced the prices of its Model Y SUV in Germany by up to 9%, equivalent to 5,000 euros (approximately $5,436).
What Happened: Tesla has implemented price cuts across various Model Y configurations, including a reduction of 1,900 euros ($2,065.6) on the base version and a more substantial 5,000 euros on the Long Range and Performance versions.
The rear-wheel-drive variant of the SUV is now listed at 42,990 euros on the company’s website, while the Long Range version is priced at 49,990 euros, and the Performance version at 55,990 euros.

The prices for all other vehicle models from the company remain unchanged.
Why It Matters: The price reduction in Germany follows a similar move in China. Just last week, Tesla lowered Model Y prices by up to 2.8% in China. Notably, the price of the Model Y Performance version was left untouched in the Asian market.
