Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , Other Electronic and Semiconductor sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 1.94%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were CviLux Corp (TW:8103), which rose 9.97% or 7.10 points to trade at 78.30 at the close. Super Dragon Technology Co Ltd (TW:9955) added 9.97% or 3.50 points to end at 38.60 and Sunko Ink Co Ltd (TW:1721) was up 9.93% or 1.50 points to 16.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included United Integrated Services Co Ltd (TW:2404), which lost 10.86% or 40.50 points to trade at 332.50 in late trade. EverFocus Electronics Corp (TW:5484) declined 10.00% or 8.20 points to end at 73.80 and Lead Data Inc (TW:2443) shed 9.85% or 0.39 points to 3.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.02% or 0.02 to $81.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $85.03 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.32% or 7.65 to trade at $2,413.05 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.15% to 32.58, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.04% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 103.89.
