Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the , Semiconductor and Electronic Parts/Components sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.58% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Adimmune Corp (TW:4142), which rose 8.01% or 1.95 points to trade at 26.30 at the close. Sincere Navigation Corp (TW:2605) added 6.54% or 1.00 points to end at 16.30 and Lemtech Holdings Co Ltd (TW:4912) was up 5.38% or 9.50 points to 186.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Shunsin Technology Holdings Ltd (TW:6451), which lost 10.00% or 8.50 points to trade at 76.50 in late trade. Cub Elecparts Inc (TW:2231) declined 9.62% or 20.00 points to end at 188.00 and Formosa Sumco Technology Corp (TW:3532) shed 9.23% or 12.00 points to 118.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 477 to 331 and 103 ended unchanged on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.65% or 0.48 to $73.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.78% or 0.66 to hit $83.50 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 5.60 to trade at $1200.00 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.10% to 30.960, while TWD/CNY rose 0.27% to 0.2232.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 95.47.
