Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , Computers & Peripherals and Other Electronic sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.53% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Cheer Time Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:3229), which rose 9.92% or 1.90 points to trade at 21.05 at the close. Coxon Precise Industrial Co Ltd (TW:3607) added 9.90% or 2.95 points to end at 32.75 and Foxsemicon Integrated Technology Inc (TW:3413) was up 9.81% or 20.50 points to 229.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Green Seal Holding Ltd (TW:1262), which lost 9.69% or 6.00 points to trade at 55.90 in late trade. Quanta Computer Inc (TW:2382) declined 9.68% or 7.00 points to end at 65.30 and APCB Inc (TW:6108) shed 7.73% or 2.25 points to 26.85.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 434 to 357 and 91 ended unchanged on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.15% or 0.64 to $55.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.25% or 0.78 to hit $61.43 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.13% or 1.71 to trade at $1281.19 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.08% to 30.137, while TWD/CNY fell 0.09% to 0.2211.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 93.70.
