Investing.com – Taiwan equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Glass and Machinery sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted lost 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101), which rose 350.24% or 7.39 points to trade at 9.50 at the close. Onano Industrial Corp (TW:6405) added 9.97% or 4.40 points to end at 48.55 and Orient Semiconductor Electronics Ltd (TW:2329) was up 9.96% or 3.95 points to 43.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Jui Li Enterprise Co Ltd (TW:1512) declined 6.10% or 0.48 points to end at 7.39 and C Sun Manufacturing Ltd (TW:2467) shed 5.95% or 13.50 points to 213.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 1.06% or 0.75 to $71.52 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.92% or 0.69 to hit $75.65 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 12.30 to trade at $2,741.70 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.07% to 32.06, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.09% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 104.20.
