Investing.com – Taiwan equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Rubber, Construction and Auto sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted added 1.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Taimide Tech Inc (TW:3645), which rose 9.95% or 4.20 points to trade at 46.40 at the close. Coxon Precise Industrial Co Ltd (TW:3607) added 9.95% or 1.85 points to end at 20.45 and Huang Hsiang Construction Corp (TW:2545) was up 9.93% or 5.90 points to 65.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lead Data Inc (TW:2443), which lost 9.85% or 0.39 points to trade at 3.57 in late trade. Oceanic Beverages Co Inc (TW:1213) declined 8.61% or 1.15 points to end at 12.20 and Arima Communications Corp (TW:8101) shed 6.45% or 0.20 points to 2.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.32% or 0.25 to $77.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.19% or 0.15 to hit $80.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 2.10 to trade at $2,494.50 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.30% to 32.31, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.27% to 0.22.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 102.74.
