Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.93%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which rose 1.40% or 2.10 points to trade at 151.70 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 0.71% or 0.9 points to end at 127.0 and SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb) was up 0.41% or 0.6 points to 147.4 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 5.12% or 1.11 points to trade at 20.57 in late trade. Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) declined 2.72% or 1.75 points to end at 62.55 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) shed 2.25% or 4.6 points to 199.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 374 to 181 and 60 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.43% or 0.21 to $48.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.30% or 0.15 to hit $49.74 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.65% or 7.95 to trade at $1209.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.06% to 9.2712, while USD/SEK fell 0.27% to 8.3103.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.61.
