Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 1.84% or 1.20 points to trade at 66.30 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs) added 1.81% or 2.6 points to end at 146.2 and H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb) was up 0.55% or 1.4 points to 253.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 4.91% or 2.23 points to trade at 43.18 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.91% or 1.05 points to end at 35.03 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 2.63% or 6.40 points to 236.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 313 to 251 and 97 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.74% or 0.39 to $52.88 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.90% or 0.49 to hit $54.95 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.24% or 2.70 to trade at $1130.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.15% to 9.6092, while USD/SEK fell 0.40% to 9.1951.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 102.96.
