Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.11%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb), which rose 2.20% or 2.90 points to trade at 134.70 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (BS:GETIBs) added 2.18% or 3.1 points to end at 145.2 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) was up 1.81% or 3.0 points to 169.2 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which lost 3.47% or 7.2 points to trade at 200.3 in late trade. Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) declined 2.47% or 3.3 points to end at 130.4 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) shed 1.91% or 3.2 points to 164.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 308 to 302 and 66 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.58% or 0.30 to $52.47 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.54% or 0.30 to hit $55.35 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.62% or 7.65 to trade at $1243.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.18% to 9.4560, while USD/SEK fell 0.38% to 8.8354.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 100.11.
