Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 4.90% or 2.97 points to trade at 63.62 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (BS:KINVBs) added 2.68% or 6.5 points to end at 249.2 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) was up 1.45% or 4.1 points to 287.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 6.64% or 2.02 points to trade at 28.40 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.95% or 1.08 points to end at 35.47 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 2.94% or 7.20 points to 237.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 389 to 314 and 85 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 2.74% or 1.36 to $48.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 2.76% or 1.44 to hit $50.80 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.16 to trade at $1267.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.02% to 9.7563, while USD/SEK fell 0.48% to 8.6834.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 96.91.
