Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.99% or 0.76 points to trade at 19.82 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 3.66% or 5.40 points to end at 152.90 and Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) was up 3.18% or 2.35 points to 76.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA), which lost 4.82% or 2.30 points to trade at 45.43 in late trade. Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) declined 0.49% or 0.18 points to end at 36.38 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) shed 0.36% or 0.9 points to 247.4.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 414 to 161 and 43 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.86% or 1.32 to $47.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.14% or 1.48 to hit $48.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.60% or 7.85 to trade at $1290.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.32% to 9.3917, while USD/SEK rose 0.03% to 8.3415.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.35% at 94.44.
