Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Healthcare and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which rose 6.24% or 9.8 points to trade at 166.8 at the close. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) added 2.43% or 4.3 points to end at 180.9 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) was up 2.30% or 0.63 points to 28.04 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which lost 0.37% or 0.5 points to trade at 133.5 in late trade. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 0.18% or 0.30 points to end at 162.90 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) shed 0.10% or 0.3 points to 306.7.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 409 to 209 and 41 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.18% or 0.09 to $50.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $51.46 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.58% or 7.35 to trade at $1263.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.06% to 9.6856, while USD/SEK fell 0.02% to 8.8102.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 97.77.
