Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 1.07%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 3.42% or 1.25 points to trade at 37.78 at the close. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken AB A (ST:SEBa) added 1.91% or 2.00 points to end at 106.60 and Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) was up 1.85% or 6.1 points to 335.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIb), which lost 2.99% or 5.3 points to trade at 171.9 in late trade. Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) declined 1.21% or 0.41 points to end at 33.59 and Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA) shed 0.03% or 0.1 points to 306.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 363 to 345 and 76 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.44% or 0.20 to $44.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.38% or 0.18 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.56% or 7.04 to trade at $1249.46 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.04% to 9.7498, while USD/SEK rose 0.24% to 8.7363.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 97.13.
