Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb), which rose 3.81% or 2.03 points to trade at 55.38 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 2.50% or 3.7 points to end at 151.8 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 2.47% or 12.5 points to 519.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb), which lost 4.13% or 11.2 points to trade at 259.9 in late trade. Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) declined 1.30% or 0.95 points to end at 72.00 and Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) shed 1.00% or 0.60 points to 59.40.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 289 to 237 and 79 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.71% or 0.36 to $50.68 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.37% or 0.20 to hit $53.70 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 3.18% or 37.05 to trade at $1126.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.19% to 9.7755, while USD/SEK rose 1.64% to 9.4160.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.34% at 103.40.
