Investing.com – Sri Lanka equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Trading and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share declined 0.39% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the CSE All-Share were Kelsey Developments PLC (CM:KDL), which rose 14.89% or 7.40 points to trade at 57.10 at the close. Swarnamahal Financial Services PLC (CM:SWAR) added 9.09% or 0.100 points to end at 1.200 and Anilana Hotels & Properties Ltd (CM:ANIL) was up 8.33% or 0.100 points to 1.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Adam Investments Ltd (CM:ADAM), which lost 25.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.300 in late trade. Serendib Land PLC (CM:SLND) declined 24.75% or 366.70 points to end at 1115.00 and Multi Finance PLC (CM:MULT) shed 11.29% or 1.40 points to 11.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 115 to 61 and 56 ended unchanged on the Colombo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.13% or 0.06 to $47.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.25% or 0.13 to hit $51.79 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.83 to trade at $1291.87 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was down 0.61% to 196.375, while USD/LKR fell 0.04% to 153.090.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 93.43.
