Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 lost 0.64%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Ferrovial (MC:FER), which rose 0.39% or 0.070 points to trade at 17.860 at the close. Mapfre (MC:MAP) added 0.39% or 0.010 points to end at 2.555 and Cellnex Telecom SA (MC:CLNX) was up 0.36% or 0.08 points to 22.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Indra A (MC:IDR), which lost 5.54% or 0.475 points to trade at 8.105 in late trade. Tecnicas Reunidas (MC:TRE) declined 2.80% or 0.630 points to end at 21.850 and ArcelorMittal SA (MC:MTS) shed 2.34% or 0.520 points to 21.730.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 55 and 17 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.24% or 2.90 to $1203.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.06% or 0.64 to hit $60.83 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.21% or 0.85 to trade at $71.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.79% to 1.1246, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.8751.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 97.32.
