Investing.com – Spain equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Building & Construction, Telecoms & IT and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 fell 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Corporacion Acciona Energias Renovables SA (BME:ANE), which rose 2.09% or 0.42 points to trade at 20.52 at the close. Repsol (BME:REP) added 1.42% or 0.17 points to end at 12.15 and Caixabank SA (BME:CABK) was up 1.25% or 0.06 points to 5.17 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sacyr SA (BME:SCYR), which lost 2.57% or 0.08 points to trade at 3.19 in late trade. Indra A (BME:IDR) declined 1.87% or 0.32 points to end at 16.83 and International Consolidated Airlines Group SA (BME:ICAG) shed 1.79% or 0.04 points to 2.25.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 113 to 69 and 31 ended unchanged on the Madrid Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.04% or 1.05 to $2,670.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 4.44% or 3.11 to hit $73.21 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 4.19% or 3.10 to trade at $77.00 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 101.80.
