Proactive Investors - 88 Energy Ltd investors counting down to the Hickory-1 exploration well, slated to spud later this month, will be grateful for a new video presentation from the company.
In 1:56 minutes, the video posted on 88 Energy’s Youtube channel gives investors a snapshot of the well’s location (near road infrastructure and the recent Pantheon Resources discoveries), the project’s objectives and ambition, and what it means in context to past wells at Project Icewine.
88 Energy on Monday detailed that preparations are advancing for Hickory-1 where ice pad construction was nearing completion and rig mobilisation was expected soon.
Hickory-1 is intended to test up to six conventional reservoir targets with pre-drill estimates seeing the potential for some 647mln barrels of oil.
Drilling is expected to take around four weeks, followed by wireline logging and, subject to results, a programme of flow testing would be expected to follow in the 2023/24 winter season.
