Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Industrial Investment and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110), which rose 4.75% or 0.85 points to trade at 18.75 at the close. Jabal Omar Development Company (SE:4250) added 1.48% or 1.00 points to end at 68.50 and Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002) was up 0.63% or 0.50 points to 79.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230), which lost 4.98% or 2.40 points to trade at 45.80 in late trade. Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) declined 4.97% or 1.15 points to end at 22.00 and Saudi Marke (SE:4006) shed 4.36% or 1.30 points to 28.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 165 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.20% or 0.58 to $47.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 1.24% or 0.63 to hit $50.33 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.22% or 2.75 to trade at $1249.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.07% to 4.0520, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 99.51.
