Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Industrial Investment and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share fell 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140), which rose 10.57% or 0.65 points to trade at 6.80 at the close. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) added 9.57% or 1.00 points to end at 11.45 and Jazan Development Co. (SE:6090) was up 8.16% or 1.20 points to 15.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included National Gypsum Company (SE:2090), which lost 5.80% or 0.85 points to trade at 13.80 in late trade. Etihad Etisalat Co (SE:7020) declined 5.00% or 1.60 points to end at 30.40 and Saudi Real Estate Co. (SE:4020) shed 3.24% or 0.60 points to 17.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 41 and 13 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.83% or 0.33 to $40.05 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.83% or 0.35 to hit $42.29 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.76% or 9.40 to trade at $1253.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.09% to 4.2784, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 94.06.
