Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Media & Publishing and Agriculture & Food sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Middle East Specialized Cables Co (SE:2370), which rose 2.80% or 0.30 points to trade at 11.00 at the close. The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) added 2.46% or 0.36 points to end at 15.00 and Allianz Saudi Fransi Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8040) was up 1.72% or 0.42 points to 24.82 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arabian Shield Coop Insurance Co (SE:8070), which lost 4.71% or 0.76 points to trade at 15.38 in late trade. Al Sagr Co-operative Insurance Co (SE:8180) declined 4.24% or 0.46 points to end at 10.40 and Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) shed 4.06% or 1.65 points to 39.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 170 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 3.52% or 1.80 to $52.94 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.25% or 1.95 to hit $61.92 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.95 to trade at $1340.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.11% to 4.2284, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7504.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 97.028.
