Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Multi Investment, Energy & Utilities and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.25%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160), which rose 1.89% or 0.30 points to trade at 16.20 at the close. Filing & Packing Materials Co. (SE:2180) added 1.61% or 0.55 points to end at 34.80 and Saudi Printing & Packaging Company (SE:4270) was up 1.52% or 0.34 points to 22.64 in late trade.
Biggest losers included The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which lost 3.76% or 0.48 points to trade at 12.30 in late trade. Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300) declined 3.55% or 1.20 points to end at 32.65 and Gulf General Cooperative Insurance (SE:8260) shed 2.91% or 0.54 points to 18.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 129 to 37 and 11 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.89% or 0.43 to $47.98 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.40% or 0.21 to hit $52.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.12% or 1.57 to trade at $1293.13 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.07% to 4.4247, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 93.18.
