Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Industrial Investment and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 2.47%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Arabian Mining Company (SE:1211), which rose 9.89% or 3.87 points to trade at 43.00 at the close. Saudi Basic Industries Corp (SE:2010) added 9.05% or 8.42 points to end at 101.50 and Makkah Construction&Development Co (SE:4100) was up 8.80% or 7.66 points to 94.75 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almarai Company (SE:2280), which lost 1.49% or 1.38 points to trade at 91.50 in late trade. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) declined 1.40% or 0.38 points to end at 26.80 and Alinma Tokio Marine Co (SE:8312) shed 1.10% or 0.48 points to 43.20.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 145 to 20 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.83% or 1.46 to $53.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.29% or 1.88 to hit $58.92 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.09% or 1.00 to trade at $1164.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.17% to 4.1468, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.09% at 96.47.
