Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy & Utilities, Petrochemicals and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 1.02% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Knowledge Economic City (SE:4310), which rose 9.47% or 2.82 points to trade at 32.60 at the close. Qassim Agriculture Co. (SE:6020) added 7.12% or 1.04 points to end at 15.65 and Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (SE:2300) was up 4.76% or 1.29 points to 28.40 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Astra Industrial Group (SE:1212), which lost 6.95% or 2.51 points to trade at 33.60 in late trade. The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) declined 2.78% or 1.64 points to end at 57.25 and Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160) shed 2.57% or 0.43 points to 16.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 108 to 55 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.46% or 0.26 to $56.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.19% or 0.12 to hit $64.77 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.48% or 5.80 to trade at $1208.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.40% to 4.1342, while USD/SAR rose 0.02% to 3.7509.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.34% at 95.86.
