Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Petrochemicals and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.89% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140), which rose 9.89% or 1.30 points to trade at 14.45 at the close. Mobile Telecommunications Company (SE:7030) added 9.84% or 0.90 points to end at 10.05 and Etihad Etisalat Co (SE:7020) was up 7.13% or 1.55 points to 23.30 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AlJazira Mawten REIT (SE:4331), which lost 3.20% or 0.70 points to trade at 21.15 in late trade. ALABDULLATIF CO. (SE:2340) declined 2.39% or 0.35 points to end at 14.30 and National Agriculture Development Co (SE:6010) shed 2.30% or 0.80 points to 34.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 128 to 30 and 18 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.24% or 0.13 to $53.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.27% or 0.15 to hit $56.38 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 3.15 to trade at $1277.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.04% to 3.9762, while USD/SAR fell 0.00% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 100.61.
