Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrial Investment, Transport and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.61%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008), which rose 10.00% or 8.75 points to trade at 96.25 at the close. Saudi Transport & Investment Co (SE:4110) added 8.25% or 4.25 points to end at 55.75 and Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002) was up 4.27% or 3.00 points to 73.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310), which lost 7.95% or 1.05 points to trade at 12.15 in late trade. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) declined 4.11% or 0.60 points to end at 14.00 and Gulf Union Cooperative Insurance (SE:8120) shed 2.85% or 0.40 points to 13.65.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 87 to 49 and 32 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.36% or 0.63 to $46.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.71% or 0.34 to hit $47.94 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.11% or 1.35 to trade at $1274.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.27% to 4.2750, while USD/SAR fell 0.03% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 93.99.
