Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Cement, Agriculture & Food and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.35%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (SE:8100), which rose 9.73% or 1.45 points to trade at 16.35 at the close. Saudi Ceramic Co. (SE:2040) added 4.26% or 1.60 points to end at 39.20 and Astra Industrial Group (SE:1212) was up 3.13% or 0.50 points to 16.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Arabian Pipes Company (SE:2200), which lost 3.96% or 0.55 points to trade at 13.35 in late trade. Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) declined 3.39% or 0.30 points to end at 8.55 and Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) shed 2.98% or 1.00 points to 32.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 86 to 61 and 22 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.84% or 0.40 to $48.25 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.55% or 0.27 to hit $49.53 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.49% or 6.45 to trade at $1324.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.45% to 4.1684, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.46% at 95.75.
