Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Insurance, Transport and Telecoms & IT sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.18%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Company for Coop. Insurance (SE:8010), which rose 6.26% or 6.17 points to trade at 104.75 at the close. ACE ARABIA COOPERATIVE INSURANCE (SE:8240) added 5.29% or 3.62 points to end at 72.00 and The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030) was up 4.12% or 1.77 points to 44.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140), which lost 4.14% or 0.62 points to trade at 14.35 in late trade. Savola Group (SE:2050) declined 4.09% or 2.92 points to end at 68.50 and Saudi Company for Hardware (SE:4008) shed 2.63% or 3.29 points to 121.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 102 to 63 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.58% or 1.24 to $49.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.25% or 0.67 to hit $53.97 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.20% or 2.20 to trade at $1094.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.31% to 4.1337, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.21% at 96.97.
