Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Hotels & Tourism, Insurance and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Alkhaleej Training & Education Co (SE:4290), which rose 10.33% or 1.25 points to trade at 13.35 at the close. Saudi United Cooperative Insurance (SE:8060) added 10.30% or 1.55 points to end at 16.60 and United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190) was up 9.90% or 1.00 points to 11.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aseer Trading Tourism&Manufacturing (SE:4080), which lost 8.27% or 1.05 points to trade at 11.65 in late trade. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) declined 3.18% or 0.37 points to end at 11.25 and Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:4150) shed 2.92% or 0.50 points to 16.60.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 131 to 25 and 13 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.47% or 0.74 to $51.03 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.16% or 0.60 to hit $52.28 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.59% or 7.45 to trade at $1270.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.09% to 4.1138, while USD/SAR rose 0.05% to 3.7514.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 97.86.
