Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Telecoms & IT and Insurance sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share added 0.78%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Takween Advanced Industries (SE:1201), which rose 8.92% or 0.85 points to trade at 10.38 at the close. Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:1213) added 6.51% or 0.86 points to end at 14.08 and ALAHLI TAKAFUL COMPANY (SE:8130) was up 5.46% or 1.45 points to 28.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Abdullah A. M. Al-Khodari Sons Co (SE:1330), which lost 4.63% or 0.34 points to trade at 7.00 in late trade. Ash-Sharqiyah Development Company (SE:6060) declined 2.07% or 1.05 points to end at 49.75 and Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050) shed 1.83% or 0.50 points to 26.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 125 to 50 and 12 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.76% or 0.39 to $51.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.71% or 0.43 to hit $59.97 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1218.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.11% to 4.2338, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7525.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 97.303.
