Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Insurance, Energy & Utilities and Petrochemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.55%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8230), which rose 8.85% or 17.00 points to trade at 209.00 at the close. Al-Jouf Agriculture Development Co (TADAWUL:6070) added 6.18% or 4.20 points to end at 72.20 and Saudi Arabian Cooperative Insurance (TADAWUL:8100) was up 5.93% or 0.90 points to 16.08 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:4130), which lost 7.69% or 0.01 points to trade at 0.12 in late trade. Miahona Holding SCJSC (TADAWUL:2084) declined 4.16% or 1.20 points to end at 27.65 and Saudi Manpower Solutions Co (TADAWUL:1834) shed 2.62% or 0.24 points to 8.91.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 155 to 135 and 26 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.60% or 0.50 to $83.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.52% or 0.45 to hit $86.89 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.14% or 3.35 to trade at $2,366.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.13% to 4.05, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.75.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 104.89.
