Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Insurance and Energy & Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.35% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were National Agriculture Development Co (SE:6010), which rose 6.67% or 2.10 points to trade at 33.60 at the close. Al Hammadi Co (SE:4007) added 4.84% or 2.00 points to end at 43.30 and Alujain Corporation (SE:2170) was up 3.64% or 0.75 points to 21.35 in late trade.
Biggest losers included United Electronics Company (SE:4003), which lost 4.40% or 1.60 points to trade at 34.80 in late trade. Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040) declined 3.70% or 0.150 points to end at 3.900 and Arriyadh Development Co. (SE:4150) shed 3.16% or 0.70 points to 21.45.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 58 and 28 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.70% or 0.36 to $51.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.75% or 0.41 to hit $54.77 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.35 to trade at $1254.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.02% to 3.9986, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7505.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 100.50.
