Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms & IT, Media & Publishing and Energy & Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 0.23%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Mediterranean&Gulf Insurance Co (SE:8030), which rose 6.25% or 0.96 points to trade at 16.32 at the close. AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320) added 5.69% or 1.26 points to end at 23.40 and Al Yamamah Steel Industries Co (SE:1304) was up 5.32% or 1.00 points to 19.80 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al Hokair Group (SE:1820), which lost 8.11% or 1.50 points to trade at 17.00 in late trade. Electrical Industries Co (SE:1303) declined 4.17% or 0.84 points to end at 19.30 and Allied Cooperative Insurance Group (SE:8150) shed 3.65% or 0.80 points to 21.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 93 to 81 and 16 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.79% or 0.45 to $57.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.81% or 0.54 to hit $67.12 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.55% or 7.05 to trade at $1298.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.25% to 4.2283, while USD/SAR rose 0.00% to 3.7503.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 97.023.
