(Reuters) - Santander (BME:SAN)'s asset management arm is one of a small number of interested parties vying to buy abrdn's private equity unit, Sky News reported on Friday.
Santander's private equity operations had over 12 billion pounds ($16.7 billion) in assets under management as of mid-2022, its earnings report showed.
A deal could be struck in the next couple of months and could value the business at around 250 million pounds, Sky News reported.
Santander and abrdn declined to comment.
