Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Technology, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 0.66% or 0.25 points to trade at 38.09 at the close. YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) added 0.44% or 0.03 points to end at 6.84 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was up 0.44% or 0.06 points to 13.79 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which lost 1.56% or 0.085 points to trade at 5.380 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 1.32% or 0.18 points to end at 13.42 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) shed 1.18% or 0.060 points to 5.035.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 96 to 80 and 14 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 2.83% or 1.35 to $46.30 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 3.15% or 1.46 to hit $44.86 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.17% or 2.35 to trade at $1342.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1229, while EUR/GBP rose 1.00% to 0.8660.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.38.
