Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.48%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V), which rose 1.23% or 0.140 points to trade at 11.550 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 0.83% or 0.45 points to end at 54.75 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.61% or 0.23 points to 38.19 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which lost 5.66% or 2.27 points to trade at 37.81 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 4.30% or 0.300 points to end at 6.670 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) shed 2.57% or 0.2150 points to 8.1650.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 78 to 64 and 13 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for July delivery was up 0.22% or 0.11 to $50.57 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $47.65 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 6.88 to trade at $1250.12 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.11% to 1.0918, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8454.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 98.94.
