Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V), which rose 4.56% or 1.22 points to trade at 27.95 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 0.28% or 0.0150 points to end at 5.4600 and Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) was up 0.05% or 0.02 points to 38.44 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.79% or 0.230 points to trade at 8.020 in late trade. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 2.71% or 0.140 points to end at 5.035 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 2.30% or 1.09 points to 46.24.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 57 and 21 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.20% or 0.58 to $48.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.38% or 0.63 to hit $46.37 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.35% or 4.75 to trade at $1352.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.80% to 1.1272, while EUR/GBP fell 0.29% to 0.8659.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.80% at 94.82.
