Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 3.52% or 320.0 points to trade at 9400.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.82% or 15.0 points to end at 1835.0 and Bcolombia (CN:BIC) was up 0.59% or 140.0 points to 23960.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Isagen SA (CN:ISG), which lost 5.75% or 245.0 points to trade at 4015.0 in late trade. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) declined 2.62% or 380.0 points to end at 14100.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 2.56% or 1000.0 points to 38000.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was up 0.17% or 0.24 to $141.62 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.49% or 14.00 to hit $2842.50 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1327.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was unchanged 0.00% to 3061.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.06% to 935.04.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 97.17.
